Safety Council Meeting July 2024

JULY MEETING WILL BE HELD ON JULY 11.

There is no meeting on the first Thursday of the month in observance of the holiday. 

Join us for our upcoming Safety Council meeting. These monthly meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Neeley Center from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Just a friendly reminder, members of the safety council are required to attend a minimum of 10 meetings during the fiscal year 2025 to qualify for a rebate on their workers' compensation premium.

Michelle Ish, SPHR

Michelle Ish, SPHR, is the owner and primary consultant for The HR Department, a small human resources consulting business focusing on local businesses and public entities in and around Ottawa County, Ohio. She is a graduate of Tiffin University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources. She obtained her Senior Professional in Human Resources credentials (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute in 2013. She has worked in the HR field for over 20 years in public, private and non-profit sectors. She is also currently the Director of Human Resources for the City of Bowling Green Ohio, providing HR resources for 400+/- employees, both union and non-union civil service. Specialty areas include: leadership development and training; conflict resolution; workers’ compensation and unemployment; policy development, implementation and enforcement; and recruitment/retention. Michelle is a lifelong resident of Ottawa County, originally from Genoa, Ohio and currently residing in Oak Harbor, Ohio with her husband Craig and their two sons.
