Hatha Yoga
The essential theme of our summer Hatha Yoga program will be to familiarize theparticipant with the fundamental asanas (postures). Such postures would include simpleforward bends, twists, standing asanas, as well as basic breathing and relaxationtechniques. With careful attention to correct form, the introduction of new postures, andrepetition of learned postures with variations, the participant will gain the foundationnecessary for a solid yoga practice. Participants will increase flexibility, strengthen, tone,and revitalize their body. Yoga postures and breath-work improve insomnia, reducestress, help digestion, and reduce back and joint pain.
