      Meal Delivery Driver - GLCAP Fremont Senior Center - Bellevue Route 

      17.95 per hour - 20 hours per week - 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

       

      Summary:  Operates vehicles in compliance with traffic and safety laws; transport food to seniors in compliance with regulations; and conducts well-checks on clients.

      Education:

      Required High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).

      Experience:

      Ability to operate vehicles and one to three years experience in transportation.

       

       As a condition of employment the following are additional requirements:

      1. Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a safe driving record.
      2. Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
      3. Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
      4. Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
      5. Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required.

       

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

      1. Operate vehicles in compliance with traffic and safety rules; maintain vehicle in prime operating condition; keep vehicle clean inside and out.
      2. Record mileage; obtain client initials or signatures and other documentation of daily route.
      3. Deliver meals to participants and nutrition sites.
      4. Monitor, document, and assist with a plan of action to ensure proper temperature of vehicle hot and cold refrigeration units and meals.
      5. Conduct daily well-check of clients and their environment; report any unusual observations or unsafe conditions to MIS Clerk.
