    POSITION AVAILABLE: Health Professional
    DIVISION: Full time position in the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)
     
    Responsibilities:

    • Completes participant’s height, weight and laboratory work in order to provide individualized nutrition assessment, counseling, and education to participants
    • Assesses and documents participant’s nutrition risk
    • Assigns tailored food packages
    • Implements individual care plans for participants
    • Assists participants in establishing and meeting their breastfeeding goals
    • Refers participants to other health and social services, and provides appropriate follow-up to referrals
     Qualifications:
    • Must be a Registered, Licensed Dietitian (preferred),  Registered Nurse, all licensed to practice in the state of Ohio; a Dietetic Technician, Registered, or four year nutrition/dietetics graduate.
    • Expertise in maternal and child nutrition including breastfeeding education
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of computer operations. Ability to multitask effectively
    • Must be sensitive and able to work with the needs of low-income individuals and individuals of all cultural backgrounds
