Preschool Lead Teacher

Bishop Hoffman Catholic School is seeking a Full-time Preschool Lead Teacher to join our awesome team of educators for the 2022-2023 school year. This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for 3 thru 5 year old children.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or higher in Child Development

•  Must submit medical statement as required by ODJFS standards. 

• Must obtain and keep current training certifications in first aid, child CPR, communicable diseases, child abuse recognition & prevention required by ODJFS.

• Must have a BCI/FBI check.

•  Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields

• Passionate about working with children

• Ability to build rapport with children

•  Positive and patient demeanor

• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for direction and overall supervision of a group of preschool children.  

• Performs activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each individual in the group.

• Works with team teachers to plan, discuss and implement daily lesson plans in accordance with the current curriculum, incorporating the Ohio Department of Education Standards. Including:

•  Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth

• Create a fun and safe learning environment

• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents

• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress

• Maintain the health and safety of all students

• Share the love of God with children and families
