The July Sandusky County Safety Council meeting will feature the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA). Tom Cikotte, Ohio EPA, will present an overview on who the Ohio EPA is, what they do and how they can help your business be in compliance with Ohio EPA regulations.
About the Speaker: Tom Cikotte is a graduate of the University of Findlay’s Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Management program and works as an Environmental Specialist with the Ohio EPA’s Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP). After several years in the automotive industry, he began working for the Ohio EPA’s Local Air Agency in Cleveland, writing permits for sources of air pollution. He then spent over 14 years in the Ohio EPA’s Northwest District Office as an inspector in the Division of Air Pollution Control, conducting compliance inspections, writing permits, and overseeing the district’s open burning program. For the last three years Tom has been with OCAPP, where he provides technical assistance for all of the regulatory programs within the Ohio EPA.
