SUMMARY:Safety Council Meeting FY24
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming Safety Council meeting. These monthly meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Neeley Center from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Just a friendly reminder\, members of the safety council are required to attend a minimum of 10 meetings during the fiscal year 2024 to qualify for a rebate on their workers' compensation premium. \n\n\n\nTopic of this meeting:  Drugs and Alcohol in the Workplace\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeakers: Charlotte Stonerook\,OCPSA health education coordinator \, Jim Posey OCPSA Health Educator\n\n\n\nSandusky County Public Health\n\n\n\n\n\nCharlotte Stonerook is employed by the Sandusky County Board of Health as the Health Education Coordinator and Supervisor of the Health Planning and Education Division.  She also serves as the Coordinator for the Sandusky County Prevention Partnership Coalition.   Charlotte has a B.A. in Social Work/Family Community Services from the University of Toledo and is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant.  Charlotte has over 20 years of experience working in communities focusing on adults/youth involved in at-risk behaviors\; and is responsible for supporting her coalition by assessing local conditions\; and developing and implementing prevention strategies\, while actively engaging community members.\n\nJim Posey is a Health Educator at Sandusky County Public Health where he focuses on behavioral health and suicide prevention.  Jim is certified as a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer and is a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Jim is the Program Coordinator for Sandusky County Public Health's Project Dawn\, and is able to provide Narcan kits to community members\, businesses\, and our emergency responders.   Jim has his Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Bowling Green State University\, and  has his Associate's Degree from Owens Community College. Jim is Certified Prevention Specialists Assistant (OCPSA) and has been involved in prevention since 2018 in direct service and community-based prevention.
