SUMMARY:Safety Council Meeting FY24
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming Safety Council meeting. These monthly meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Neeley Center from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Just a friendly reminder\, members of the safety council are required to attend a minimum of 10 meetings during the fiscal year 2024 to qualify for a rebate on their workers' compensation premium. \n\n\n\nTopic of this meeting: \n\nHeat Stress Requirements and Best Practices\n\n\n\nThe heat is turning up on employers to do something about heat! We will cover what is currently in the OSHA Emphasis Program\, recent court decisions\, recent citations\, and best practices for employer heat stress programs.\n\n\n\nSpeaker: \n\nPhillip Rauscher MPH\, CIH\, CSP\n\nInterim Executive Director\n\nACGIH \n\n\n\nMr Rauscher is the Interim Executive Director for ACGIH. In this role he works with volunteers and staff to coordinate the work of the board\, committees\, high quality digital/in person education and industry leading electronic/print publications to those practicing occupational hygiene.\n\n\n\nMr. Rauscher earned his MPH in Environmental/Occupational Health from the University of Toledo.\n\n\n\nMr. Rauscher is a member of ACGIH\, and AIHA and is the recipient of the 2019 ACGIH Bloomfield Award. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
