DESCRIPTION:Lunch & Learn on Employee Engagement: "5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace"\nAt the end of the session\, participants will be able to:\n\n\n	Demonstrate how to use the "Five Languages of Appreciation" to show specific and targeted appreciation at work (and that is truly valued by the recipient)\n	Explain the effect of targeted appreciation on engagement\, team relations\, retention and levels of respect\n	Demonstrate how to overcome the 'weirdness' factor when showing true appreciation\n	Identify barriers to appreciation and recognition efforts\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Dave Tippett\, PHR\, SHRM-CP\n\nDirector\, On-Site Learning and Consultation\n\nThe Employers' Association\n\nwww.theEA.org\n\nDave is well-known for his enthusiasm\, training creativity and commitment to helping people work better\, together. Before coming to the Employers' Association\, he worked and trained for a large behavioral healthcare organization. Before then\, Dave was a Human Resources Director in Toledo\, OH for ten years.  \n\nDave has provided training for such companies as Style Crest\, Crown Battery\, Sandusky County Human Resources Association\, Campbell Soup\, Cooper Tire\, Whirlpool\, General Motors\, Libbey\, Inc.\, Spangler Candy\, Sauder Woodworking\, and many\, many more. He is also Past President of two area SHRM chapters\, served a Co-Chair for three large regional HR conferences\, is a published and award winning playwright\, author\, speaker\, above average husband and father to several "fur children" (dog and 3 cats). Dave and his wife\, Jill\, make their home in Gibsonburg\, OH.\n\nDave is a graduate of the University of Toledo and holds a Professional Human Resources certification from HRCI and from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
