The Chamber of Commerce Agricultural Committee hosts the annual Ag Week Kickoff Breakfast. This breakfast event was developed to promote Agriculture in Sandusky County and the important role it plays in our daily lives. It is also a way to kickoff National Ag Week. Awards for Farmer of the Year and Agricultural Service are presented during this annual event.

The 2018 Ag Breakfast will be held Friday, March 9th at Ole Zim's Wagon Shed from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Dr. Libby Dayton, Soil Scientist in the School of Environment and Natural Resources at The Ohio State University, was the speaker for the event. Dr. Dayton talked about a current research project which involves the mitigation of non-point source agricultural pollution.

The Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County Agricultural Committee presents the Sandusky County Food Pantry with a donation each year.  We, once again, partnered with The Andersons, Inc. who generously agreed to match donations up to $2,500. The Chamber collected advance donations of $575, plus $374.48 from Piggy Banks on the tables at the event, which is doubled to $1,898.96 to donate to the Sandusky County Food Pantry.
